Some tips about Orlando Holidays[

Spent the last week helping a friend book a family holiday in Orlando Florida. We had to arrange everything, from insurance to car hire. here are websites we used. Since I spent a week searching for cheap prices, these should be the best value that you can find when booking your holiday in Orlando...

Cheap flights to Orlando
Cheap Orlando Car Hire
Cheap Travel Insurance
Cheap Orlando Hotels

I hope that these sites are really helpful to you when it comes to booking a family holiday in Orlando yourself. Orlando is a top destination with loads going on. Aside from the famous disney world theme park, there are loads of other places you can experience including Seaworld and Universal Studios. Tampa is about an hour away by car, and you can even go to Cape Canaveral on the Florida Coast where you might see a rocket taking off.

Discount airfares

Everywhere you look on the internet, there is someone who wants to sell you cheap flights, or discount airline tickets. the fact is, that most of these companies offer exactly the same products as everyone else, and more often than not, a full day of searching will not save you more than a few quid if that.

The easiest way of getting a cheap airfare to anywhere is to follow the five golden rules of cheap travel:

  • Book your cheap flight well in advance.
  • Be flexible in your date and time of travel.
  • Choose a less popular day to fly.
  • Be willing to fly indirect to save money.
  • Consider an alternative airport.

The fifth rule is probably the easiest way to save money on an airfare - quite often, if you want to get to a particular destination and flights are expensive, the chances are that you can fly into a nearby city for much less.

A great example of this is Dubai. If you want a cheap flight to Dubai, but there are none available, you can always book a flight to Abu Dhabi instead - it is only about an hour south of Dubai, and there are regular coaches between the two cities.

One thing to bear in mind though if you are travelling between the two cities, or any other similar pair is the cost of getting from one to another.

Taking off

I always used to be afraid of flying, or more accurately, afraid of crashing whenever I went on a plane, but after a few cheap flights I soon got over all of my fear. I discovered that instead of being worried about what might go wrong when I was flying, I would instead focus on enjoying myself and looking forward to getting to where I was going and all the things I wanted to do when I got there.

The first time I flew with work in business class was with British Airways. They called it club world flights, and it was brilliant. I didn't have time to be afraid as I was enjoying all the facilities such as a fully flat bed and top quality food on board. In fact, I enjoyed the flight so much that I was actually disappointed when it finished.

Now every time I get the opportunity to get on a plane, I enjoy the experience more, especially since I learned the secrets of getting upgraded to business class on almost every flight I go on...

Any way, I'll tell you all about how to get upgrades to business class when you only buy cheap flights another time. I've got work to do in order to pay for my travels...

Booked it

Well, I've just booked my dubai flight, made the decision to go, and now I'm going. Can't wait. I booked it with Discount Airline Flights. It only cost £300. So that was really cheap.Hotelss are good value in Dubai in the summer - apparently it is going to be really hot when I go - forty degrees!
I think I'd better pack some sun screen!

Work

It's fairly hot today, but I'm stuck at my desk working. I've just found a brochure from Airline Network which has lots of middle east holidays in it, all those exotic destinations seem very exciting, and above all, very hot with plenty of luxurious hotels to stay in.

I realized recently that I've never been to Dubai, and I feel that I should get there sooner rather than later. I've been told all about the amazing hotels and all the other attractions on offer in this unique Middle Eastern Destination.

Apparently the Burj Al Arab Hotel is the most luxurious place you can stay in the whole world, and they have a butler on every floor to look after you during your stay. It seems super glamorous in the pictures I've seen, but I think I'd rather stay at the Royal Mirage - it looks a bit more authentic to me.

There seems to be tonnes to do in Dubai, including a new indoor ski slope opening later this year - imagine that, snow in the middle of the desert, not to mention the world's tallest building (Burj Dubai), and a number of man made islands just off the coast which are shaped like palm trees.

I'm told that the shopping is great, especially for gold in the gold souk, and for designer clothes.

I can't wait to go to Dubai, especially if I can get a cheap flight there, which I can with this new website that I just found, which gets the best fares around, and sorts them by airlines. Its really innovative and user friendly, and saves you time if you know who you want to fly with:

Anyway, I'd better get back to work for now, I'll post more stuff soon, and tell you all about what I've been getting up to.
